Name: Deanna Reynolds
Trade: Industrial Mechanic Millright
Employer: Oldcastle BuildingEnveloppe
Hometown: Calgary, Alberta
"From my earliest childhood memories, I can remember trying to figure out how things were assembled and how they operated. I’ve always enjoyed building things from scratch so naturally I knew the trades were the right career path for me. I chose millwright because of the variety and diversity of this trade. In the future I would like to work in a management role while leading a team. I got involved in Skills Competitions in grade 12 and went on to compete at the 2016 Skills Canada National Competition where I qualified to compete at WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017."
· Interesting fact about Deanna: I really enjoy baking and gardening in my spare time. I also love fishing, hunting and camping.
· I believe that continuous learning is an important Essential Skill to have, as you can never stop learning! This applies to job related skills and also to personal development. Continuing to better yourself can help you to grow and succeed.
