Jozée Dulude, of Québec, is the recipient of the 2024 John Oates Memorial Award. The John Oates Memorial Award is about recognizing a volunteer’s significant contributions to the skills movement in Canada.
Dulude is retired from teaching after 32 years as an instructor of fashion and made-to-measure clothing at the École des métiers des Faubourgs-de-Montréal. She currently serves as the National Technical Committee representative for Québec in Fashion Technology and is the WorldSkills Team Canada 2024 Expert in her Skill Area.
She has served as WorldSkills Chief Expert for Fashion Technology on multiple occasions and is taking on this important role again for WorldSkills Lyon 2024. Dulude has been an active volunteer in the skills movement for more than 25 years and has left a lasting impact on the lives and careers of many of her students and mentees. Many of them have gone on to become teachers or found employment with fashion brands around the world.
