My career journey
I’m an industrial mechanics teacher. I’m passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience with my students to prepare them for their future careers in industrial mechanics. I’ve been an Expert in my Skills Area for two years.
The importance of training
I think that structured training is the key to success at the WorldSkills Competition. I encourage the competitor to train 12 hours a week in his or her trade, and six hours a week for mental preparation. With regard to training, my approach is to put the competitor in situations he or she could face during the competition. We also work together on case studies. My aim is to help the competitor win a medal at the WorldSkills Competition. I think it’s very important to stay calm and focused during the Competition to successfully complete the project. My advice is that anything is possible in life if you have the will and are determined to achieve your goals.
The importance of Skills for Success
The most important Skills for Success at the 47th WorldSkills Competition will be Adaptability and Creativity & Innovation.
Why I love volunteering
I love to volunteer because I enjoy working with people who are as passionate as I am. For me, the most rewarding moment is when the competitor and my team recognize my efforts and my hard work.
