Biography
I chose Landscape Gardening as a career because I love being outdoors, and I find it incredibly amazing to take a piece of land and transform it into a beautiful, functional space. This particular trade appeals to me because it allows me to be creative and work with a variety of different materials and plants. Also, I enjoy the physical aspect of the work and the sense of accomplishment that comes with completing a project. The job keeps me active and engaged. I find it incredibly rewarding to see the transformation of the project. My career goals are to continue to learn and grow as a person in landscaping. I hope to become a master in my trade and, most importantly, I want to be my father’s successor.
My teacher Patrick Lalonde got me involved in skills competitions, and the whole experience is mind blowing. When I learned that I will be competing at WorldSkills Lyon 2024, I felt happy and confident. I feel the biggest challenge there will be time and the other competitors. I already know it’s going to be really intense.
