SCNC is the only national, multi-trade and technology competition for students and apprentices in the country. Each year, more than 500 of Canada’s best in skilled trades and technologies come to SCNC to compete in over 40 skilled trade and technology competitions. At SCNC, thousands of students visit the competition floor and discover the exciting and rewarding careers that are available in the skilled trades and technologies through over 50 interactive Try-A-Trade® and Technology activities, by visiting exhibitor booths, and engaging with industry professionals.

RBC Best of Region Award
This Best of Region award is a medal awarded to one competitor or team from each province and territory during the competition’s Closing Ceremonies. This prestigious award is a testament to the skill and knowledge of its recipients. The RBC Best of Region Award is given to the competitor with the best weighted score from each province and territory
Gene Haas Foundation Award – CNC Machining and Precision Machining
Gene Haas Foundation is offering cash awards to CNC Machining and Precision Machining medalists at the 2024 Skills Canada National Competition. These awards are available to both Secondary and Post-Secondary competitors!
AMJ Campbell Awards – Workplace Safety and Heavy Vehicle Technology
AMJ Campbell is providing cash prizes totaling $5,000 to all medalists in the Workplace Safety and Heavy Vehicle Technology Skill Areas to help them further their careers in their field of choice.
CWB Welding Foundation Awards - Welding
A CWB WeldSAFE™ PPE kit will be awarded by the CWB Foundation to the Bronze, Silver and Gold Medalists for both Secondary and Post-Secondary Welding Competitions.
Messer Canada Award - Welding
A SolidWELD dual voltage Multipro 200SP single-phase welding machine will be awarded to the Gold Medalist in the Post-Secondary competition. The machine comes with ready-to-weld torches for all processes. It is simple to set-up and is perfect for people new to welding.
Southwire Award – Electrical Installations
A Southwire tool backpack which includes a large selection of top selling and innovative tools and meters, and a PROBAGBP backpack with a Tools catalog, will be awarded to the gold medalist in Electrical Installations. This applies to the Post-Secondary competition category only.
Sam Piercey Foundation Award
The Sam Piercey Foundation is offering cash awards to the gold medalists in Autobody Repair and Car Painting.
Dave Smith Award
This $2,500 award is presented to the Post-Secondary gold medalist in the Car Painting skill area.
